Directions
Ellistrin is ideally situated as a base for touring the lovely Border countryside. If you prefer to stay in a quieter town but wish to visit the cities we are just 1 1/4hrs drive from Edinburgh, 1hr from Carlisle and 1 1/2hrs from Newcastle.
From the North(A7) - Continue straight on the A7 until you come to the roundabout. Go straight and cross the bridge. You will see a Morrisons to the left. Continue until you reach a large roundabout. Take the left turning along the A698 road, signposted Kelso, until the third road on the right. This is opposite a telephone box. Go up this hill and directly in front of you at the top is Ellistrin. The entrance to the driveway is on the right after turning the corner.
From the South(A7) - Follow the road until reaching a small roundabout. Turn right and follow the road into the centre of the town. Continue straight until reaching the distinctive 'Horse' statue. Take the right road and continue until you reach a large roundabout. Continue straight along the A698 road, signposted Kelso, until the third road on the right. This is opposite a telephone box. Go up this hill and directly in front of you at the top is Ellistrin. The entrance to the driveway is on the right after turning the corner.
From the East(A698) - Continue straight along Weensland Road(A698). You should pass a petrol station on the right. The fourth left after the petrol station should be Fenwick Park(opposite a phone box). Go up this hill and directly in front of you at the top is Ellistrin. The entrance to the driveway is on the right after turning the corner.
There is also an hourly bus service to and from both Carlisle and Edinburgh. Storage can be provided for visitors travelling by bicycle. Clicking on the images above will cause larger versions to appear which can be printed out.
